Kalei Mau finished her first stint in the Athletes Unlimited Volleyball at rank 24.
On the final day of the five-week tournament, Mau’s Team De la Cruz sneaked past Team Drews, 76-73 (25-23, 25-22, 26-28) to end Season 2, Saturday at the Fair Park Coliseum in Dallas, Texas.
The Fil-Hawaiian standout grabbed 177 points in the final outing coming off five kills, a block, and nine digs. Win points made the difference at 140.
From 26th, Mau improved two spots up to end the season at 24th with 2,033 total points after five different teams and 15 matches.
“Thank you AUV for this amazing experience,” said Mau on an Instagram story during the awarding ceremonies.
“I made some lifelong friends here. So thankful for a great season.”
Betty De la Cruz won the second season with a whopping 4,652 points, a runaway winner at that with Natalia Valentin-Anderson a far second at 3,337.
Dani Drews came in third place with 3,308 points, while Cassidy Lichtman rounded out the top four with 3,279 points.
