PVL: Lazaro, Ferrer vintage vs F2, tow Choco Mucho to first win

Choco Mucho notched its first win in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the expense of F2 Logistics, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 26-24, Thursday at the Philsports Arena.

Kalei Mau sent the Cargo Movers to set point after a crosscourt kill but the Flying Titans answered with four unanswered points, capped by a block by Isa Molde and Maika Ortiz on Lindsay Stalzer for the win, 26-24.

“Every game will be a tough game for us. Sabi ko lang we have to want it more, keep the faith, and let’s work together,” said Choco Mucho head coach Oliver Almadro.

“Nagdeliver naman itong mga small but terrible ko na mga player so it’s not about size, it’s about the heart.”

Odina Aliyeva spearheaded the Flying Titans right from the get-go to give the Flying Titans the first frame before the Cargo Movers came back in the second to equalize the match at one set apiece.

After F2 Logistics pulled to within three after trailing by as much as eight, Odina Aliyeva, and Bea De Leon joined hands for the 25-20 third period for the Flying Titans.

Aliyeva top-scored for Choco Mucho with 27 points to go with 29 excellent receptions.

Kat Tolentino and Bea De Leon chipped in 11 points apiece while Denden Revilla tallied 26 digs and 11 excellent receptions.

The Flying Titans are now level with PLDT at 1-1, while pulling the Cargo Movers down to 0-2 for rock bottom.
