San Miguel Alab Pilipinas has tapped one of its banes for their 2019-20 campaign in the ABL.
Seven-foot-six big man Sam Deguara has been signed by the Philippine-based club team to replace Adrian Forbes.
The signing was announced on Thursday morning.
With this, Deguara reunites with Jason Brickman, as they played for Mono Vampire a season ago. The Maltese-Italian center averaged 21.6 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks during that campaign that saw Mono make it to the semis before being eliminated by eventual-champions CLS Knights.
Forbes, on the other hand, averaged just 4.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in two games played for Alab.
Alab is currently 1-1 in the young season.
Deguara is set to make his debut when Alab host the Singapore Slingers on Sunday at the Sta. Rosa Multipurpose Sports Complex in Laguna.
