AcadArena CEO among finalists in Esports Awards’ Collegiate Ambassador of the Year

AcadArena’s co-founder and CEO Ariane Lim was among the finalists of the Collegiate Ambassador of the Year award in the 2021 Esports Awards, Friday.

Lim launched the campus esports program last September 2020 — launching numerous esports scholarship programs while also holding different collegiate tournaments in Valorant, PUBG Mobile, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, just to name a few.

“Honestly surreal to see my name up there with other greats doing good for the space. It’s really our students carrying us up there. Acad Arena community bless,” tweeted Lim.

The AcadArena head will be up against Chris Haskell of Boise State University, Adam Antor of Florida Southern College, Chris Turner of Southern University, and Ryan Johnson of Cxmmunity for the award.

Lim previously worked for NetEase Games, Nimo TV PH, and Garena Philippines before founding AcadArena.

Meanwhile, another Filipino in Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno of Bren Esports is in contention for the Mobile Player of the Year.
