LVPI allows Alyssa Valdez to play in PVL semis

Creamline Cool Smashers skipper Alyssa Valdez has been cleared to play this weekend in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference semifinals.

According to several reports, Larong Volleyball ng Pilipinas, Inc. acting president Peter Cayco gave Valdez the go-signal to participate in Creamline’s campaign in light of the National Team’s continued preparation for the AVC Senior Women’s Championship.

The availability of the four-time PVL MVP was doubtful after National Team head coach Francis Vicente had announced a stricter, twice-a-day training regimen for the upcoming days.

Valdez will play her first match in more than three weeks with the Cool Smashers tomorrow in Game One of their best-of-three semis series against the Bali Pure Water Defenders.
