3BB Nakornonnt officially announces Valdez addition

Thai club team 3BB Nakornonnt officially added Philippine volleyball star Alyssa Valdez, earlier today.

In an announcement on their official Facebook page, the team said the team have Valdez for the rest of their second round campaign in the Thailand League and Thai-Denmark Invitational League in April.

“3BB Nakornonnt is set to fight even harder in 2017’s Volleyball Thailand League as the team officially signs Philippine star Alyssa Valdez.

“Head coach Acting Sub. Lt. Thanakit Inleang [Coach M] believes in her attacking and defensive skills which will strengthen the team in Leg 2 of the league and the Thai-Denmark Super League.

“23 year old Valdez previously played with Som Kuthaisong and Nic Jaisaen in the Shakey’s V-League for the Bureau of Customs Transformers team. She was also a captain of the U23 National Team, and participated in the 2015 SEA Games.

“It’s pretty safe to say most of the Thai volleyball fans know her,” the statement read which was roughly translated from Thai by Thailand Volleyball.

The Philippine National Team stalwart will join a young team which includes Som Kuthaisong and Nic Jaisaen, both of whom were imports on the Valdez-led Bureau of Customs Transformers that made the Shakey’s V-League Reinforced Conference Finals.

Valdez will join a league that includes Thai powerhouse club Bangkok Glass and Thai National Team players. And more importantly, the 23-year-old will be with the Nonthaburi-based club team for the long haul.

Tiebreaker Times first reported earlier today that Valdez will reinforce 3BB Nakornonnt in its 2016-17 Thailand Volleyball League campaign.
