Former UAAP Finals and PBA D-League Most Valuable Player Mac Belo is set to lead the country once again, this time in the 2016 FIBA 3×3 World Championship, which will be held Guangzhou, China, from October 11 to 15.
The Gilas Cadet will be joined by fellow National Team pool member Russel Escoto, Karl Dehesa of Manila North, and Rey Guevarra of Manila West. Dehesa and Guevarra both have FIBA 3×3 experiences, competing in the 2015 FIBA 3×3 Manila Masters.
The Philippines will be grouped with Group C, together with European squads Spain, Poland, Romania, and Hungary. Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the next round.
