With that said, Ateneo is now up 1-0 in the best-of-three series, and is now just one win away of booking themselves a ticket to the Finals.
Green Spikers’ newly-appointed head coach Ernesto Pamilar pointed out that the players are still developing their mastery of the new system.
“Nasa period pa sila ng learning process at adjustment,” said Pamilar, who took over the coaching reins from Ron Dulay back in July this year.
“Medyo malaki pa yung kailangang naming baguhin para maabot yung sistemang gusto namin para sa team.”
However, the multi-titled coach from FEU is impressed with the way his team is playing, given the fact that they have just been playing and training under Pamilar for a mere two months.
“Sa two months pa lang na magkakasama kami, malaki na yung improvement ng team eh,” said the former FEU Women’s Volleyball head coach, when asked what were the positives he saw despite the five-set loss against Ateneo.
With little time to prepare for Game Two, Pamilar does not have any particular plan in mind even if they are down 0-1.
“Ganun pa rin,” he said. “Sabi ko nga wala munang training, magpahinga muna kayo. Nakita naman natin [kung ano kaya nating gawin].”
“[Sabi ko naman sa kanila na] kahit anong mangyari sa game, kung anuman maging resulta, tanggap naman namin.”
