Jose Rizal University Lady Bombers skipper Shola Alvarez added to her historic season, while University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Altas rookie Joebert Almodiel brought home three awards to banner the NCAA Season 93 Volleyball Tournaments’ best individual players.
Averaging nearly 22 points per match in the elimination round, Alvarez was named the Most Valuable Player in the women’s division.
Almodiel, on the other hand, not only brought home the MVP award in the Men’s Division, but also copped the Rookie of the Year and First Best Outside Spiker honors.
Other awardees in the women’s division are Arellano’s Jovielyn Prado and Regine Arocha, who were the First Best Outside Spiker and Best Opposite Spiker, respectively; San Sebastian College-Recoletos’ Alyssa Eroa and Joyce Sta. Rita, who were deemed Best Libero and Second Best Middle Blocker, respectively; Alvarez’s teammate Dolly Versoza, who earned the Second Best Outside Spiker honor; and Perpetual’s Lourdes Clemente, who bagged the First Best Middle Blocker trophy. Lady Chiefs rookie Necole Ebuen was awared the Rookie of the Year.
Almodiel’s teammates Warren Catipay and Jack Kalingking were the Best Setter and Best Libero in the men’s division. San Beda University’s Limuel Patenio and Mark Enciso bagged the Second Best Middle Blocker and Best Opposite Spiker plums. Arellano’s Christian Dela Paz and Kevin Liberato took home the Second Best Outside Spiker and First Best Middle Blocker trophies, respectively.
