Thirdy Ravena earns Finals MVP

After struggling in last season’s Finals series, Third Ravena, a third-year Blue Eagle, was crowned the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Basketball Finals Most Valuable Player.

Ravena, 20, was the Ateneo de Manila University’s heart and soul all throughout the season. And in the epic three-game Finals series, he made sure to leave it all on the court, averaging 16.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals.

The 6-foot-2 all-around forward ended this season with 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block, helping the Blue Eagles outlast the Green Archers in Game 3.

“It’s a surreal feeling,” the second generation cager said. “This is my first championship in Ateneo.”

This adds to the hardware he has earned this season, as he also made it to the All-UAAP team.

His teammate Isaac Go was named as the Manulife 110% Heart and Hustle Player of the Finals.
