2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers

SMART Gilas resumes preparations for Asian Qualifiers


The same 13 players from the previous workouts showed up on Friday morning at the Meralco Gym, as SMART Gilas Pilipinas resumed its’ preps for the World Cup Qualifiers after a break on Thursday.

Furthermore, the Nationals will continue with their twice-a-day practice setting until tomorrow, Saturday.

The 13 consistent cagers in the resumption of sessions were spearheaded by Gilas veterans Jayson Castro, Gabe Norwood, June Mar Fajardo, Calvin Abueva, Troy Rosario, Allein Maliksi, and Raymond Almazan.

Completing the cast were Kiefer Ravena, Mac Belo, Roger Pogoy, Carl Bryan Cruz, Matthew Wright, and Kevin Alas.

It will not be just all practices for SMART Gilas this week though, as they are about to face Ray Parks, Jr. and ASEAN Basketball League squad Tanduay Alab Pilipinas, also tomorrow night in a tune-up match, still at the Meralco Gym.
