Ynot takes charge as Smart Omega coach

After losing decorated tactician Steven “DaleDalus” Vitug to Aura PH, Smart Omega Esports will be bringing in a familiar face to steer their MPL-Philippines Season Seven campaign.

The organization announced on its Facebook page Saturday evening that former player Tony “Ynot” Senedrin will be calling the shots for last season’s grand finalist.

Ynot, a former Dota professional, played with the PLDT-Smart Omega franchise in The Nationals back in Season One.

He later brought his talents to Geek Fam PH in the MPL-Philippines Season Five wherein they finished at the bottom two of the ten-team field — causing them to surrender their slot in the main draw.

Ynot was later signed by Smart Omega Esports for the second season of The Nationals. There, he worked with Dale and helped the team reach the grand finals. He was later relegated by Omega in their M2 World Championships roster.

He will be spearheading a tight-knit squad composed of Kenneth “Kenji” Villa, Salic “Hadjizy” Imam, Jeniel “Haze” Bata-anon, Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo, Jankurt “KurTzy” Matira, and EJ “Heath” Esperanza.

Omega Esports will be opening the MPL-Philippines Season Seven against Execration on March 19 at 6:00 p.m.
