Yawi used trashtalk against him as motivation vs Omega

During the series against Smart Omega, Echo’s Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera was seen shouting towards the opposite area, which surprised a lot of the viewers given that the roamer had toned down when it came to trash-talking and taunts over the past two seasons.

Yawi later revealed that his shouts were motivated by events that transpired weeks before their scheduled rematch against Omega.

This issue stemmed from a private conversation discussing their first match this season, where Omega won over Echo with Yawi finishing with a “Private na lang po.

“Sobrang lala talaga kaya nanggigigil ako,” bared Yawi.

Reading the trash talk about him lit a fire that buoyed Yawi to another impressive performance, where he finished with the MVP honors in Game 1 over Omega via a 1-1-11 KDA on Grock in their 2-0 sweep of their rivals.

Gustong-gusto ko pong daanin sa laro tapos durugin sila,” Yawi told members of the press.

He clarified, though, that all is well between him and the Omega squad outside the game.

Yawi’s motivated performance helped Echo secure the upper bracket in the playoffs, where they joined Bren Esports, who secured the top seed earlier today after a sweep of Blacklist International.

“Lakas po kasi ng lahat ng teams ngayon, so advantage po kapag nasa next round ka agad tapos wala ka sa first round. Sa first round din po isa lang din po yung buhay, so matalo laglag ka agad,” Yawi explained.
