Yawi joins Indonesia’s AURA Fire

Aura Fire officially announced the addition of Filipino star roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera to their MPL Indonesia Season 13 roster in a video uploaded on their YouTube channel.

Aura is the sister team of Echo, where Yawi played for four seasons, highlighted by the MPL Philippines Season 11 title and the M4 World Championship crown.

Yawi’s arrival aims to revive Aura, which, after promising back-to-back third-place finishes in Season 9 and 10, plummeted to dead last in the past two seasons.

The 22-year-old roamer will undergo lengthy adjustments as the only Filipino import in the Aura Fire roster.

It will be interesting to see how Yawi’s championship experience becomes a factor in a team that has never won a single MPL ID title or represented their region in international tournaments since their entry into the league from the qualifiers back in Season 3.
