Work Auster Force extended its winning streak to three games, taking down Cignal Ultra via a dominant 2-0 sweep in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven regular season, Friday afternoon.
Unlike the first match, Work Auster Force had to earn Game Two at the hands of a motivated Cignal Ultra squad.
But the neophytes managed to get things done to seal the sweep.
With Cignal Ultra taking the early goings of Game Two by leaning on Bryan “Janus” Badando’s Lancelot, Work Auster Force was able to score a four-for-one exchange in the 12-minute mark which tipped the scales to their favor.
Work then secured the luminous lord in the 12:38-mark and ended the 16-11 Game Two at exactly 14 minutes and one second.
Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico was named the Smart MVP of Game Two, finishing with six kills and five assists against three deaths playing Benedetta.
Daniel “Chuuu” Chu’s Ling had four kills, a death, and nine assists while Clarense “Kousei” Camilo had three kills, two deaths, and nine assists with his Alice.
On the other hand, JANUS’ 7-3-2 stat line went for naught as Cignal suffered its second-straight loss to open the season.
Work Auster Force solidified their hold of the number one spot in Group A with nine points through a 3-1 record.
With Dylan “Unravel” Catipon (Baxia) and Patrick “rTzy” Ibarra (Selena) amplifying Chuuu’s Harley’s farming capabilities, Work Auster Force flat-out dominated Cignal Ultra in Game One.
The former Blufire core took over Cignal’s jungle camps all throughout the match which helped him scale as early as the seven-minute mark, edging Cignal’s late-game composition in just 12 minutes and 39 seconds.
RTzy won the Smart MVP award with three kills and five assists against two deaths in the 14-9 Game One win.
Chuuu chipped in five kills, two deaths, and four assists while 3MarTzy’s Lapu Lapu added four kills and five assists against a death.
Cignal Ultra will remain at the fifth spot in Group A with a 0-2 card with zero points.
Work Auster Force will be going up against Group B leader Blacklist International on Sunday at 2:00 pm while Cignal Ultra looks to snatch their first win against defending champion BREN Esports tomorrow at 4:00 pm.
