RK Hoops-Quezon City 10ACT clobbered skidding Caloocan behind an all-around outing from Tantoy Ferrer, 86–66, to strengthen its bid for a twice-to-beat quarterfinal bonus in the 2026 Women’s Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League on Wednesday at Hoops Haven in Pasay.
Ferrer barely missed a triple-double, finishing with a well-rounded line of 24 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists, alongside six steals in the blowout win.
The Quezon City-based squad snapped its two-game skid to improve to 3–6 and climb to solo fourth place, but remains just half a game ahead of Pasig (2–6), which was playing Batangas-New Zealand as of publishing time.
“Kailangan pa namin i-improve ‘yung defense namin kasi this game, yes, we won but need pa yan i-improve para makaabot kami sa final four,” said RK Hoops-QC 10ACT head coach Jon Cobarrubias, who is still seeking more from his team, especially ahead of their next game against Biñan-Tatak Gel on Sunday.
Ferrer, Caryl Molina, and Natasha Alcantara set the tone early, powering Quezon City to a 20-point halftime cushion, 49–29.
The squad then made sure not to allow the Lady Kankaloo any sustained run in the second half, completing an elimination round head-to-head sweep after also winning their first meeting, 68–60.
Molina added 19 points on an efficient 9-of-13 shooting, along with nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and a steal, finishing as a game-best +36 in 24 minutes and 27 seconds of action.
Hazel Panti contributed 12 points, six rebounds, and six steals, while Alcantara chipped in 10 points.
On the other hand, Tin Capilit led Caloocan with 21 points and two assists off the bench.
Sofia Felisarta, also coming off the bench, added 12 points and nine rebounds as the Lady Kankaloo dropped to their fourth straight loss, slipping to 1–8 and now facing the burden of needing to win twice in the quarterfinals to advance.
Caloocan will wrap up its elimination round campaign on Sunday against Batangas-New Zealand Bluefire.
