Wise remains grateful to ONIC PH a year after trade

Many saw the grand finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight as the perfect chance for the V33Wise duo to claim sweet revenge over the team that shipped them out two seasons ago.

Blacklist International jungler Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, though, never saw the match-up in that way.

According to Wise, going up against ONIC PH in the finale of Season Eight was pure business. He even thanked the squad during the MPL Philippines post-game interview for giving them the opportunity to grow.

And he’s just thankful to have the chance to go up against his former squad on the biggest stage in MPL Philippines.

“Para sa akin hindi siya revenge eh, kasi naging part din kami ng ONIC talaga. Kaya sobrang thankful kami na nag-grow kami doon sa ONIC. And thank you sa Blacklist dahil mas nag-grow kami dito,” Wise told reporters on Sunday night.

“Masaya kami dahil naging part kami ng ONIC. And siyempre professional player ONIC dati and sobrang laking growth nung nabigay sa’min as a player nung ONIC. And masaya ako na dalawa kami sa grand finals na naglaban.”

Prior to Season Seven, ONIC PH shipped Wise and OhMyV33NUS to Blacklist International in exchange for Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol.

The iconic duo went on the lead Blacklist International to its first MPL title in Season Seven. On the other hand, Kairi’s presence fast-tracked ONIC PH’s rebuilding process.

Then, come last Sunday, both squads met in the grand finals of the MPL Philippines Season Eight with Blacklist International eventually taking the crown via a 4-1 decision.
