V33Wise explains decision to take break from MPL

In a shocking turn of events, Blacklist International announced on Sunday that the power duo of Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna look to skip the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Season Nine.

With this, the iconic duo made sure to explain their side in separate Facebook posts.

According to OhMyV33NUS, he will be focusing on his other goals all while taking a much-deserved break from the MPL grind. Wise, on the other hand, will use the break to spend time with his loved ones.

“Sobrang daming eksena ang naganap last year and looking back, grabe i can’t believe na nakeri ko lahat ng all-out shampoohan from back to back MPL PH championship, MPLI, MSC and then finally na-getget aw natin ang M3 world championship,” said OhMyV33NUS.

“Napakaraming eksena ang nagdaan na tinest talaga ang patience ko as a person, para akong nirebond nang paulit ulit with Brazilian blowout! At sa dami ng bash na natanggap ko, doon ko mas naramdaman na ang dami palang nagmamahal sa akin,” he expressed. “Hindi ko kayang mareplyan lahat pero sobrang thankful ko talaga sa lahat ng support and blessings na dumating sa buhay ko lalo na finally nakuha natin hindi lang isa pero tatlong korona. Sobrang pasabog to the highest level ang mga naachieve natin last year kaya tingin ko naman deserve kong magpahinga muna saglit from all the eksena and live a peaceful plantita life.

“I will be resting for a while this Season Nine para naman mabigyan ko ng time yung ibang goals ko sa buhay and magbonggang beauty rest lang din talaga.”

Acquired by Blacklist International in November 2020, the V33Wise duo quickly buckled down to work — suiting up in the ONE Esports MPL Invitational before leading the Tier One-backed squad to back-to-back Juicy Legends championships.

From there, the V33Wise-led Blacklist International took control of the local MPL scene.

The celebrated duo led Blacklist International to a dominant run that saw them clinch back-to-back MPL Philippines titles in Seasons Seven and Eight.

Blacklist International also got second place finishes in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup and the 2021 edition of the ONE Esports MPL Invitational.

The team then finally made its mark on the international stage, bagging the M3 World Championship after a rough grind from the lower bracket to the finale.

It was a sweet, yet exhausting ride for the V33Wise duo which is why they opted to skip the upcoming season.M3-Blacklist-def-RRQ-Wise V33Wise explains decision to take break from MPL ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

“Thank you sa mama ko na pinayagan ako maging pro player.

“Ngayon na naabot na natin pangarap nating maging world champion, oras na para magpahinga muna saglit para mas makasama ko naman family ko this season,” Wise said. “Wag kayo mag-alala guys babalik naman tayo season 10. Quality time lang din muna ako sa mga resin ko.Thank you so much sa lahat at sana patuloy niyo pa kaming suportahan ni Ohmyv33nus. See you soon sa live!”

The two, though, assured that they will be back in Season 10 to help Blacklist International claim its ticket to the M4 World Championship and defend their crown.

“Pero mga nakshiieeeesssz tandaan na hindi pa tapos ang eksena ko sa ML. Need ko lang ng break para mapaayos ang balakang ko plus yung ano, alam niyo na yon. Long overdue na to kaloka,” said the former ONIC PH support.

“Maraming maraming salamat sa walang sawang suporta. See you parin sa mga live at kung anong maisipan kong eksena. This is not a goodbye, but a see you later. Ganern.”
