Uratex to compete in ABL 3×3


A women’s team is slated to compete in the ABL 3×3 Invitational Cup this weekend in Bali, Indonesia.

Two-leg Women’s National Basketball League-Pilipinas 3×3 champion Uratex will be the Philippine representative for the regional meet.

Composing Uratex are Dream’s Tina Deacon and Kaye Pingol and Tibay’s Eunique Chan and Sam Harada.

Coaching the team in this FIBA 3×3 Level Three tournament is Kat Quimpo.

Deacon and Pingol, along with Alyssa Villamor and Shanda Anies, took down two legs in the Level Two tournament WNBL 3×3.

Uratex is slotted in Pool A along with Vietnam’s VN Red & Gold (5:20PM), Singapore’s Team Lions (10:25AM), and Indonesia’s Lourve (9:10PM).

Meanwhile, a second Filipino men’s team will compete as the Zamboanga Valientes are in the tournament as well.

Composing the Valientes are Jojo Cunanan, David Sebastian, Jeff Bernardo, and RJ Argamino.
