UAAP Season 79 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Schedule

Change has truly come.

For the first time since the 73rd Season of the UAAP, the men’s and women’s basketball games will be held under one roof, based on the schedule obtained by Tiebreaker Times Wednesday afternoon.

In the schedule, majority of the games will be played at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, while the last day of the round has a yet-to-be-determined venue.

Opening day games include the UP Fighting Maroons facing the Adamson University Soaring Falcons, while hosts University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers square off against the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles. The much-anticipated tilt between the Far Eastern University Tamaraws and the De La Salle University Green Archers follow it up as the main game for the second play date.

The highlight rivalry game pitting Ateneo against La Salle is scheduled on Sunday, October 2, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The women’s side play at 10:00am, while the men’s face off at 4:00pm.

The finals rematch between the FEU Tamaraws and the UST Growling Tigers is pencilled in the day before Ateneo-La Salle (Saturday, October 1) at 4:00pm. On the women’s side, the National University Lady Bulldogs face the Ateneo Lady Eagles on Sunday, September 11, at 10:00am.
