Jia Morado is one of the best setters in the local scene, dishing out assists from left and right whenever she sees action. And her selflessness extends beyond the court.
Morado’s fundraising drive amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is a testament to that.
She and her beau Miguel de Guzman launched Every Little Thing Counts, a Facebook page made for the purpose of helping out the frontliners in a battle against the pandemic.
There, the superstar playmaker initiated a jersey auction where proceeds will be used to fund personal protective equipment for the healthcare and social workers.
The game-worn memorabilia that she’s putting up for auction is her UAAP Season 79 Ateneo jersey back in her last playing year in college.
“Bidding something special to me, for those who are doing extra special things for us,” the Creamline stalwart said.
“If you don’t win, we hope you can still donate to our cause!”
The starting bid is at PHP 1,200, which will increase with increments of 100. The auction will close on April 1, Wednesday, at 12 noon.
