Thirdy’s ex-San En teammate Jelovac, 32, passes away

Stevan Jelovac (July 8, 1989-December 5, 2021), a former teammate of Thirdy Ravena in San-En, has passed away after suffering a stroke on Monday.

He was 32 years old.

Jelovac was playing for Greek club AEK Athens. He reportedly fainted during an individual workout he had in Greece.

The 6-foot-10 Serbian was hospitalized afterward and was diagnosed to have suffered a stroke. He was brought back home to Serbia, where he died.

Over the past 10 days, all of the teams in the Stoiximan Basket League had “Get well soon Stevan” banners held by the players during the pregame ceremonies.

Last year, Jelovac played for the NeoPhoenix in the B.League. He averaged 18.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in 52 games played.

He also played for Vizura, Crvena zvezda, Antalya BB, JuveCaserta, Lietuvos rytas, CAI Zaragoza, Nizhny Novgorod, Brose Bamberg, and Gaziantep.

Ravena paid tribute to his former teammate in an Instagram post.
