Terrence Watson storms out of venue after disappointing debut

Terrence Watson’s PBA return was a total disappointment.

The former San Miguel Beermen import was a non-factor for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters on Wednesday night versus the Alaska Aces, producing only 10 points and 13 rebounds.

His counterpart Mike Harris, meanwhile, bulldozed his way to 39 points and 25 rebounds to power Alaska to the 106-89 victory for a share of the third spot of the 2018 Governors’ Cup standings.

The replacement for J’Nathan Bullock was visibly disappointed after the game, storming out of the SMART Araneta Coliseum without even changing his clothes.

Adding insult to injury is that the Elasto Painters have gone down to 0-3.

However, Rain or Shine head coach Caloy Garcia came to the defense of their new import, saying that Watson had a bum stomach earlier this Wednesday due to food poisoning.

“May masamang kinain kanina,” Garcia said.

“He felt it at the end of the first quarter. Sumusuka. Afte tbe first quarter every time sina-sub namin sumusuka, pagpasok sa dugout sumusuka, after the third sumusuka.”

“So we didnt want to gamble on it.”
