Tai Bundit bids farewell to Ateneo

After bringing the Lady Eagles to two championships, and four Final Four appearances, Tai Bundit confirmed that he will not be returning to Ateneo next season.

“Not coming back to Ateneo. This is my last game.”

During the off-season Bundit nearly left the Lady Eagles, until Ateneo de Manila University president Fr. Jett Villarin intervened.

After exiting in the semifinals for the first time in his UAAP coaching career, Bundit lamented his lost season.

“[I] knew we could not win. Too many problem, too many challenges,” Bundit told Tiebreaker Times.

“I want to thank fans, thank Ateneo, thank the UAAP volleyball, thank the players, thank the Philippines,” added the Thai mentor, as he bid the Ateneo fans in the Mall of Asia Arena farewell.

“Two championships, four Finals appearance, not bad, huh?”
