Sibol ML book ticket to IESF World Championship

Sibol Men’s MLBB secured their place in the IESF World Esports Championship 2023 after sweeping their group stage matches against Bangladesh and Kazakhstan in the IESF World Esports Championship 2023 – Asia & Oceania Qualifier in Saudi Arabia on Monday.

They successfully booked their spot in the global event by securing back-to-back sweeps, guaranteeing their appearance in the playoffs. All playoff teams in the Asia & Oceania Qualifier are already assured of a place in the IESF World Championship.

Sibol started strong by annihilating Bangladesh in Game 1 with a 15-0 shutout kill score, led by Kyle Angelo “KyleTzy” Sayson (Ling) and David “FlapTzy” Canon (Lapu-Lapu), who combined for 12 kills and 12 assists.

Game 2 was a different story as Bangladesh kept it close in the early game, but during the 7th minute turtle fight, Canon (Arlott) scored a double kill, leading to Sibol’s 4-0 wipe and establishing a 3k gold lead.

From that point on, Sibol dominated, allowing Bangladesh only one additional kill for the rest of the match and tallying 11 kills to take the series by the 11th minute.

Sibol achieved a similar 2-0 victory against Kazakhstan, quickly finishing off their rivals in Game 1 (11 minutes) and Game 2 (13 minutes).

Before heading into the playoffs, they still have to face Saudi Arabia for their final group stage assignment.

Sibol is composed of Sayson, Canon, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, Marco Stephen “SUPER MARCO” Requitano, Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel, and Jan “XBOCT” Amande. (With reports from Jan Marcus Montevirgen)
