Sibol Dota 2 swept Myanmar, 2-0, to bag the championship title in the Gamers8 IESF Asian Championship 2023 in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
The DOTA 2 national team got off to a good start in the playoffs after they swept Jordan, 2-0, in the upper bracket semi-finals but fell short in the next stage where they suffered a 2-0 beatdown at the hands of Myanmar.
After putting down their last life-line in the lower bracket finals, Sibol managed to sweep Mongolia, 2-0, to force a rematch against Myanmar in the grand finals.
It was then that the Philippines went all the way, as they powered through Myanmar with 2-0 sweep, to earn the championship title.
