RRQ Hoshi taps Arcadia as coach

Indonesian powerhouse RRQ Hoshi officially announced the signing of former ECHO head coach Michael “Arcadia” Bocado, Wednesday.

Tiebreaker Times first broke the news about Arcadia’s transfer overseas last July 11.

Arcadia will be spearheading the team’s title-retention bid in the upcoming MPL Indonesia Season 10. The team was coming off a silver finish in the MSC 2022 after losing to RSG PH in the grand finals last June.

In his final stint with ECHO, the former Arena of Valor pro steered the star-studded squad to a disappointing 5th-6th place finish in the MPL Philippines Season Nine. They lost to eventual grand finalist Omega Esports in the first round via sweep.

With Arcadia’s transfer now official, he is now the fifth ML:BB coach to head overseas after Francis “Duckey” Glindro (REVO) in 2019 and John “Zico” Dizon (Burn X Flash), Denver “Yeb” Miranda (ONIC Esports), and Theo “Raizen” Eusebio (Suhaz Esports), who all recently transferred to their respective squads.
