NorthPort got itself a tough blow as Robert Bolick’s injury has apparently become worse than thought.
In a Facebook post of team owner Mikee Romero, the rookie guard will have to go through surgery in his knee, which he hurt in the Batang Pier’s 127-119 win over San Miguel Beermen Wednesday.
“Robert we wish you the best in your operation,” Romero’s post read.
“The team will miss you for a couple of months but I’m sure you will comeback stronger. I am behind you all the way.”
The celebrated San Beda product got the injury at the 8:06-mark of the fourth quarter after attacking the rim. Bolick was never fielded back to the match again, finishing with nine points, six assists, three rebounds, and a block.
The report added the initial MRI results have been given to the team but Bolick has been asked to seek second opinion.
With this, the Gilas Pilipinas member is expected to miss months, and that will definitely be tough for the Batang Pier especially for their playoff aspirations in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, where they are currently at 3-4.
Bolick has been averaging 12.8 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds in 33.11 minutes of playing time this conference.
