The TNT KaTropa won’t have to go all-Filipino again in their clash with the Blackwater Elite this Friday, as they have found a new import in Stacy Davis to bolster their campaign in the 2018 Governors’ Cup.
The development was first reported by Gerry Ramos of Spin.ph on Wednesday.
The former Pepperdine standout will be taking the place of Mike Glover, who got the pink slip right after his underwhelming debut last August 17 against the NLEX Road Warriors.
There, Glover only had 11 points and 15 rebounds, and the KaTropa lost, 90-103.
After he was sent home early, TNT had to play with an all-Filipino lineup against Allen Durham and Meralco last August 19. But the Texters got the job done as they escaped the Bolts, 92-90.
Davis – who played in Pepperdine from 2012 to 2016 but wasn’t selected in the 2016 NBA Draft – is set to arrive today, Thursday. The 23-year-old is fresh from a stint in the French LNB Pro B.
