REPORT: Meralco import O’Bryant signs with Shanghai

Has Meralco silently let go of Johnny O’Bryant or did he sign another contract with another team despite having a live one in the PBA?

According to a report by the reputable website Sportando, the 36th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft has signed with Chinese Basketball Association team Shanghai.

None other than O’Bryant’s agent Charles Misuraca of SLASH Sports confirmed the development to the publication.

O’Bryant, 29, has played six games so far for the Bolts, leading the squad to just one win.

He is currently averaging 26.0 points, 14.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

Ironically, the Sharks are also just 1-5 in the ongoing CBA season.

Meralco management has yet to respond to Tiebreaker Times regarding the matter as of publishing.
