For Nexplay EVOS jungler John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, the return of Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarase to the starting unit has been one of the main reasons for its hot 2-0 streak in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight.
Nexplay EVOS started the season without its star gold laner no thanks to some internal problems that hounded the team prior to the start of Season Eight.
RENEJAY then made his return in Game Two of Nexplay EVOS’ match against ONIC PH last week, but it was not enough to save the squad from a 0-3 hole.
But once the social media star finally the starting lineup anew, Nexplay EVOS had a huge boost from the pits of the standing to middle – taking down Omega Esports in pure split-push fashion while sweeping RSG PH on Friday via a 2-0 result.
According to H2wo, RENEJAY’s shot calling skills were in full effect in the past games. And that voice proved to be one of the main reasons for their resurgence.
“Siguro yung pag pasok din ni Renejay sa lineup, yun yung nag bago ng momentum namin.
“Kulang kasi kami sa comms nung week one namin kasi si Hesa yung nag laro, parang nagkukulang kami sa comms nun tapos ang dami naming errors and parang si Hesa lang yung gumagalaw sa amin ganun,” said H2wo moments after the win over RSG PH.
“Kasi kapag si Renejay nasa amin siya yung nagco-comms talaga sa amin, saka sa akin,” he added.
RENEJAY contributed five kills and nine assists against three deaths on his Lunox in the Game One win before capping off the RSG series with a 2-3-8 line with Lylia in Game Two.
Nexplay EVOS (2-3) is currently tied with TNC (2-2) and Omega Esports (1-5) at the fourth spot with six points each.
The team will take on ECHO next tomorrow at 6:00 PM.
