Rachel Daquis continues to do her part in helping out the people affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
During the 447th Araw ng Pasig celebration, the native of Taytay, Rizal went Rizal High School to lift up the patients in one of the city’s centralized quarantine facility.
The 32-year-old gym owner, who plays for Cignal in the PSL, led the morning exercise program for the patients.
“Do you know that exercise, in general, can help boost your body’s natural defenses against illness and infection. Stay safe and stay awesome everyone,” read Daquis’ Instagram post.
Daquis and her team did their routine in the school’s quadrangle as the patients followed her lead on the balconies.
Pasig mayor Vico Sotto was grateful for Daquis’ volunteer work that helped raise the spirits of the recovering patients.
“Mukhang masigla ang mga pasyente ng Centralized Quarantine Facility natin kaninang umaga,” read Sotto’s tweet.
“Maraming salamat kay Ms. Rachel Anne Daquis sa pag lead sa exercise routine!”
