ZUS Coffee adds Robles, Penafiel, Verdeflor, Saet as Daquis reunites with Gonzaga

After making a major leap in the previous conference, ZUS Coffee is looking to build on its breakthrough campaign by adding a mix of rising stars and seasoned veterans to its roster ahead of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

The Thunderbelles announced on Monday that they have signed Cess Robles, Renee Peñafiel, and Karen Verdeflor, along with experienced campaigners Chie Saet and Rachel Daquis, further strengthening their lineup for the all-local tilt.

“Let’s make it official! Welcome to the ZUS Coffee family, Karen Verdeflor, Ren Peñafiel, Cess Robles, Chie Saet, and Rachel Anne Daquis! Tuloy ang trabaho! Tuloy ang laban,” the team wrote in a Facebook post.

Robles, one of Chery Tiggo’s top scorers, is expected to take on a key role for ZUS Coffee, while Peñafiel and Verdeflor add depth and versatility to the wing and libero rotations under head coach Jerry Yee.

Meanwhile, Daquis — who saw limited action with Farm Fresh last season — reunites with close friend Jovelyn Gonzaga and is expected to provide veteran leadership alongside fellow experienced player Chie Saet.

The new additions join an already solid core led by Cloanne Mondonedo, Thea Gagate, AC Miner, Alyssa Eroa, Riza Nogales, Chinnie Arroyo, and Gonzaga.
