The Premier Volleyball League is conducting an investigation regarding the allegations that Gerflor has not paid its players in the ongoing 2023 Second All-Filipino Conference.
The Defenders are currently in their second conference in the PVL.
“The PVL would like to inform everyone that the situation concerning the Gerflor Defenders and their players is currently under investigation,” reads the league’s statement.
“Rest assured, we are committed to conducting a thorough and fair inquiry into the matter, ensuring that both the team’s representatives and the players involved will have an opportunity to be heard.”
Earlier this week, an anonymous player made posts on Reddit, raising questions about how to address this issue.
She revealed that the team has not received their salaries for the last three months.
Furthermore, the Defenders raised concerns about the security of their training facility in Quezon City.
Another concern she raised was that the team had to request water from another PVL team.
The league is aiming to complete the investigation as soon as possible.
“We take these matters seriously and will take all necessary steps to ensure the integrity and fairness of our league,” the statement continued.
“Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to resolve this issue.”
