Pheww, Ribo relish mini Bren reunion in MPL Hall of Legends

Almost a year since they decided to take different paths, the trio of Angelo “Pheww” Arcangelo, CJ “Ribo” Ribo, and Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno had the opportunity to share a special moment together once again on Sunday night.

Ribo, Pheww, and KarlTzy, who all played pivotal roles in bringing the Philippines its first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang world title, were inducted to the inaugural MPL Philippines Hall of Legends in a ceremony held at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for all three players which is why they were glad to have gone through it with each other.

“Sobrang special din sakin kasi parang mini reunion na namin ‘tong tatlo e. Masaya talaga rin ako na nagsama-sama kaming tatlo dito,” Pheww said during the MPL Philippines Hall of Legends press conference.

“Masaya ako kasi nagsama-sama kaming tatlo e,” added Ribo.

Ribo, who parted ways with the Bren Esports before Season 10 after taking a break in Season Nine, said that he was very proud of what Pheww and KarlTzy have achieved after their time together.

The 23-year-old midlaner stayed with Bren Esports and finally led the team to its first playoff appearance since the M2 World Championship squad missed the postseason twice in a row. Meanwhile, the 18-year-old jungler steered ECHO to its first-ever franchise win en route to the Season 10 grand finals.

In the end, KarlTzy copped a silver medal while Pheww ended up at fourth place.

“Sobrang proud ko sa kanilang dalawa kasi yung mga laban nila ngayong playoffs sobrang ganda, parang sa loob ko nakakainggit. Dapat nandun din ako naglalaro para mapakita ko rin sa mga fans na kaya ko pang makipagsabayan,” added the two-time MPL champion.
