Jacob Maniti converted a late spot-kick to help the Azkals Development Team seal a 1-1 draw against Maharlika Manila in the 2022-2023 Philippines Football League, Saturday, at the PFF National Training Center.
The 19-year-old midfielder scored a penalty in the 82nd minute of the match to disappoint Maharlika Manila, which was seeking its first win of the season.
Maniti’s goal canceled out Spencer Galaza’s tap-in that served as the opener in the 67th minute of the game.
The result means that the ADT increases its points tally to eight points behind two wins, two draws, and three losses in 5th place.
On the other hand, Maharlika gets its first point of the season and ends its losing streak to nine matches.
