Peñaranda, ex-Lady Eagles trio headline players locked by Pacific Water

Pacific Water signed its 12 players to tender offers last Sunday for the coming 2021 Chooks-to-Go Women’s National Basketball League season.

Headlining the Queens given tender offers by Pacific Water were Snow Peñarada, the sixth overall pick in the 2021 WNBL draft, and a trio of former Ateneo Lady Eagles in Cara Buendia, Jollina Go, and Pam Payac.

Also locked by the Queens were its protect players Adeline Sebastian and Girly Villaflores.

Penaranda, Go, and Villaflores actually began their tour of duty for Pacific Water last May 22. They competed in the first round of the WNBL-IBC 1v1 tournament.

Lhyn Bilbao, Nefriteri Taller, Janella Alba, Tin Cortizano, Elaisa Adriano, and Jinky Balosta were also signed to tender offers by the Queens in the event held at Shakey’s Katipunan.

Pacific Water was represented by team manager Jong Cariaga with NBL-Pilipinas vice president for basketball operations Edward Aquino witnessing the event.

The Quezon Lady SparTAN and the Glutagence Glow Boosters have also signed their players to tender offers in the past few weeks with the WNBL already charting its plans to open the season this year even during the pandemic.
