The 44th season of the Philippine Basketball Association will open its curtains on the biggest stage possible.
The first PBA games of 2019 will be hosted at the 55,000-seater Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan. The league has set its opening date on January 13, 2019.
The development was first reported by SPIN.ph’s Gerry Ramos.
But before the new season opens, the league will close out its 43rd season with the Season 43 Leo Awards. The league will crown the Most Valuable Player; the Rookie of the Year; the All-PBA teams; the All-Defensive squad; the Most Improved Player; and the Sportsmanship awardee during the festivities.
The last time the PBA held a game at the Philippine Arena was back in February 18, 2018, featuring tilts between NLEX going up against Blackwater and arch-rivals Meralco and Ginebra in the main game.
