The PBA will have a “new home” starting Season 48.
TV5 President Guido Zaballero revealed that the league’s games will be aired live on A2Z in partnership with Zoe TV and ABS-CBN.
“Ang bagong tahanan ng PBA will now be A2Z,” the executive said during the preseason presser Tuesday at the Diamond Hotel.
“We will be supporting the PBA, and we will be showing the PBA live on every gameday,” he furthered.
Zaballero said they felt that the PBA needed a “dedicated home” where it won’t be compromised by other leagues being covered by Cignal/TV5.
“The primary reason is we believe that the PBA really needs a dedicated home, and we saw the possibilities with Zoe TV,” he stated.
“Doon na po sa A2Z ang PBA to ensure that moving forward, we’ll also be able to build on the other [products] kasi dedicated timeslot na po ‘yan sa A2Z.”
Zaballero, though, clarified that Cignal and TV5 will still be in charge of producing for the league, whose new season will open on November 5.
