Ben Adamos will fill the shoes left by Vic Manuel, going to Alaska as the sixth overall pick in the 2021 PBA Draft, Sunday afternoon.
Magnolia originally had the sixth pick, shipped it to Phoenix Super LPG during the Calvin Abueva trade. It did not take long for the Fuel Masters to let go of the pick as it figured in a pick swap with the Aces for Vic Manuel.
Adamos was welcomed to the team by team governor Dickie Bachmann, head coach Jeffrey Cariaso, and guard Mike Digregorio.
The 6-foot-6 stretch big man came a long way before finally joining the big league.
Adamos originally went to Technological Institute of the Philippines before transferring to San Beda from NCAA Seasons 92-93. He averaged 4.03 points and 2.6 rebounds per game with the Red Lions.
The big man then transferred to University of Perpetual Help System DALTA during Season 95. He posted norms of 11.6 points on 45.1-percent shooting from the field, 30.8-percent from downtown. He also had 8.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest.
Adamos also played for Bacolod-Master’s Sardines in the MPBL, norming 8.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest.
He opted out of his final year with Perpetual to enter the draft.
