Philippine Basketball Association landed in Calasiao, Pangasinan on Thursday for the 2019 All-Star Weekend festivities.
The delegation, led by commissioner Willie Marcial, headed to Calasiao Municipal Hall first for a courtesy call with mayor Joseph Bauzon, a nephew of one of the PBA’s pioneers Orly Bauzon.
“We would like to thank you for being here. We are ecstatic that the PBA All-Star will be held here in our municipality,” said Bauzon in a brief speech.
The players then headed to Robinson’s Place Pangasinan and CSI Mall for a promotional tour of the All-Star Weekend. The fans got themselves a treat with the meet-and-greet session.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, March 29, where the Obstacle Challenge, Three-Point Shootout, Slam Dunk Contest, and the Rookie-Sophomores versus Juniors match will be held.
The annual spectacle will then culminate on Sunday, March 31, where the highly-anticipated main event that will see the North All-Stars go head-to-head with the South All-Stars will take place.
A Cignal x PBA All-Star 3-on-3 side event will also be held on Sunday.
The 30th PBA All-Star Weekend will be held at the Calasiao Sports Complex.
