The Philippine Basketball Association approved a three-team trade involving Converge, NorthPort, and Phoenix on Thursday.
Under the deal, Evan Nelle moves from the Batang Pier to the Fuel Masters, Jeo Ambohot transfers from the FiberXers to the Batang Pier, while Converge acquires the rights to Larry Muyang from Phoenix.
Nelle, the 14th overall pick in the 2024 PBA Draft, spent the past year with NorthPort.
The 5-foot-11 guard out of La Salle averaged 4.64 points and 2.55 assists in 11 games during the previous conference.
Ambohot, the third overall pick in 2022, struggled to find consistent minutes with Converge.
Now, he will reunite with Bonnie Tan, who is set to serve as governor of Titan Max — the company taking over the NorthPort franchise.
Meanwhile, Muyang, the seventh overall pick in 2020, left Phoenix last April to suit up for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the MPBL.
He must first secure clearance from the PBA board to return to the league after receiving an indefinite ban for going AWOL.
If reinstated, Muyang will reunite with Delta Pineda, currently serving as a consultant for Converge.
