PBA Draft: Phoenix goes big with Larry Muyang at seven


Phoenix beefed up its lineup with Larry Muyang as the seventh pick of the 2021 PBA Rookie Draft, Sunday afternoon.

Phoenix dropped to this pick after it traded for Vic Manuel.

Muyang was welcomed to the Fuel Masters by team governor Raymond Zorrilla, head coach Topex Robinson, and team captain Matthew Wright.

Muyang, a 6-foot-6 Pampangueno, started his collegiate career with La Salle but transferred to Letran in 2017.

The native of Santa Ana, Pampanga flourished there, winning Rookie of the Year honors in Season 94. He later helped the Knights win the NCAA crown in Season 95.

Muyang averaged 12.7 points and 7.0 rebounds last season.

He also played for Pampanga and San Juan in the MPBL and Pampanga in the NBL.
