RSG Philippines recently suffered a loss at the hands of ECHO, snapping their five-straight wins – but that doesn’t mean respect is lost between the two.
Head coach Brian “Panda” Lim and RSG skipper Dylan “Light” Catipon addressed the ‘toxicity’ from fans who target ECHO roamer Jaypee “Jaypee” Cruz whenever the team struggles.
“Natatawa nga ako pag natatalo ECHO, si Jaypee lagi yung nasisisi kahit okay naman yung ginagawa niya, yung game play niya. Ginagawa lang naman niya yung trabaho niya bilang roamer and as a player,” Light commented on the social media backlash he observed.
“Di naman deserve ni JayPee yung kahit anumang bash kasi ginagawa naman niya yung best niya para sa team niya.”
Contrary to comments from Jaypee’s heavy critics on social media, Panda acknowledges Jaypee as a necessary factor that makes ECHO a strong team.
“I know talaga that ECHO is strong. It’s working because JayPee is playing there din. Because it doesn’t work if the tank is just somebody that is really underskilled. JayPee is doing well,” he said
He encourages fans to move away from toxicity and instead foster a healthy environment for players and support their respective teams.
“Wala nang bash-bash. Yawi good luck. JayPee good luck din. That’s all they need just support lang.”
