Jeremy Miado 2.0 has been unleashed.
In his first match out of Marrok Force, the Jaguar out of Albay flat out dominated Miao Li Tao in the second match of ONE: NextGen, Friday evening at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Just like their first time encounter back on ONE: Age of Dragons last November 2019, Miado was impressive.
Nineteen seconds into the second round, Miado stunned Miao with a left hook. The Chinese fighter sued for time but the referee deemed that the punch was legal.
Miado did not hesitate and blasting Miao afterward with the bout stopped just 41 seconds into the round.
“Yeah, very surprised because I expected for him to shoot,” said Miado, who raised his record to 10-4 in ONE’s strawweight division. “Surprised that he threw punches at me.”
During the opening round, Miado peppered Miao with stinging jabs and combinations. The Filipino even attempted a flying knee at the 2:25 mark as he tried to replicate his knockout win in their first meeting.
The only attempt of Miao to take down Miado was during the closing seconds of the round.
“First of all, I would like to thank God for this victory. I would like to thank my coaches at Marrok Force. They really prepared me for this fight,” said Miado.
Miao dropped to 6-5 in his prizefighting career, losing four of his last five bouts.
