ONE Championship announced two more shows for this month with ONE: No Surrender II and ONE: No Surrender III on August 14 and 21, respectively.
Fresh off the heels of the highly successful ONE: No Surrender on July 31, The Home Of Martial Arts announced on Monday the next two events, which will once again be held behind closed doors in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the main event for ONE: No Surrender II, Saemapetch Fairtex and Rodlek PK. Saenchaimuaythaigym meet in the semi-finals of the recently announced ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai tournament. The finalist will battle ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.
“It’s such a huge honor and moment for me to return to ONE Championship after having no events in the past few months,” Saemapetch said.
“There hasn’t been an opportunity to compete for a while, so I am really grateful. I’m also very happy that we will fight in Bangkok. I trained very hard for this fight, and I want to give it my all inside the ring.”
Like Saemapetch, Rodlek cannot wait to strut his wares, especially after a layoff that not most Muay Thai athletes are used to.
“It is a privilege to be able to compete right here at home in Bangkok. Saemapetch is a young, hungry fighter and we’re going to put together an exciting main event,” Rodlek said.
“I know he’s a tough fighter. I’ve seen the way he fights and he’s very good, but I’m ready to put forth the best performance of my career. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Also on the card is Frenchman Victor “Leo” Pinto, who takes on Mehdi “Diamond Heart” Zatout in the co-main event. Meanwhile, Pongsiri “The Smiling Assassin” Mitsatit faces Akihiro “Superjap” Fujisawa in a mixed martial arts bout.
On the other hand, ONE: No Surrender III will see the other ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament semi-final bout between “The Million Dollar Baby” Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort and “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai in the main event.
