OhMyV33nus, Wise to skip MPL PH 9

The duo of Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario will skip the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League, Blacklist International announced on Sunday.

“The Blacklist International management and its star players OhMyV33nus and Wise mutually agreed that the two will skip the upcoming MPL-PH Season 9,” opened Blacklist International’s statement.

“The year 2021 was historical for the duo.

“With Back-to-back MPL PH Championships, 1st runner-up finishes in both MPL Invitational and Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup, and a dominating performance taking home the M3 World Championship title for the black and white squad, the V33Wise tandem has nothing left to prove to our organization as they have exceeded all our expectations in their first year in Blacklist International,” the statement continued.

Blacklist International was coming off a huge victory in the M3 World Championships.

Before that, the V33Wise-led squad bagged the last two MPL Philippines titles on top of silver medal finishes in the 2021 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup and the ONE Esports MPL Invitational.

Both the management and the players agreed that this is the perfect time for the tandem to take their much-needed break.

They have been in the MPL since Season Four.

“Both the players and the management agreed that this is the perfect time to take their much-needed break that will better equip them for another run in season 10 and a chance to defend our world championship title,” said Blacklist International.

“The duo will remain under the management of Tier One Entertainment and they are excited to use this break to pursue personal goals and spend more quality time with their families. V33Wise wishes to thank everyone, especially the V33Wise Fam and Blacklist Agents, for the unconditional love and support they’ve been receiving ever since.”

The organization, though, assured that the two will be back in action for Season 10.
