OhMyV33NUS sees ONIC loss as ‘blessing in disguise’ for Blacklist

A blessing in disguise.

That’s how Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna describes Blacklist International’s first loss in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight against ONIC PH on Sunday night.

“Ako personally I don’t really mind na matalo sa ONIC,” said OhMyV33NUS during Blacklist International’s post-match interview.

“Actually, even sa mga upcoming games namin, since secured na rin naman namin ‘yung upper bracket… Siguro parang somehow blessing in disguise na rin ‘yung mga pagkatalo namin, kasi for the longest time parang ngayon na lang namin ‘to na-encounter,” added the veteran support player.

The Tier One-backed squad’s streak of dominance came to an end at the hands of ONIC PH via a 2-0 sweep.

For OhMyV33NUS, a loss will bring nothing but good things to the side of Blacklist International – just as he expressed before earlier in the season.

“’Yung ma-experience mo ulit ‘yung spark, ‘yung gigil na makabawi and manalo ulit… Parang it’s something na magiging magandang adjustment namin sa mga upcoming matches namin,” bared OhMyV33NUS.

The former ONIC PH skipper also lauded his former team’s performance. He then expressed his desire to face them again in the MPL Philippines playoffs.

“Ako for me, regarding sa pagkatalo namin sa ONIC talagang… Personally sa’kin, maganda talaga ‘yung ginawa nila. And sobrang naglo-look forward ako na makalaban ulit sila sa playoffs,” said OhMyV33NUS.

Blacklist International has already secured its spot in the upper bracket with 28 points off a league-best 11-1 record. They will take on Omega Esports on Saturday at 8:00 PM.
