Neon Esports whips Boom to open Dota Pro Upper Division campaign


Neon Esports thrashed direct invite BOOM Esports via a 2-0 sweep in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: S1 – Southeast Asia Upper Division, Wednesday afternoon.

Andrei “Skem” Ong hit timely arrows with Mirana in Game One, spearheading the Filipinos to a 27-17 win for a 1-0 lead.

The 20-year-old support finished with 10 kills, a death, and 13 assists for Neon Esports.

Midlaner Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer posted nine kills, a death, and 15 assists playing Storm Spirit. Meanwhile, Anthony “Natsumi-” Vargas had four kills, one death, and eight assists using Troll Warlord.

All in all, the match that lasted 33 minutes and 31 seconds.

Saieful “Fbz” Ilham’s Pangolier led BOOM Esports with five kills, four deaths, and nine assists.

Neon Esports had a much easier time in Game Two all thanks to Yopaj’s monster performance playing Queen of Pain.

The 19-year-old midlaner ended with 20 kills, a death, and 20 assists to lead Neon Esports’ lopsided 44-15 victory over BOOM Esports.

Natsumi- (Riki) added 10 kills, three deaths, and 17 assists in Neon Esports’ tally. Meanwhile, Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla (Elder Titan) had four kills, a death, and a game-high 27 assists.

Neon Esports will next face 496 Gaming on Friday.
