MTB confident in Blacklist’s mindset for LB rematch against Fire Flux

While not discounting the fact that Fire Flux Esports played a phenomenal game during their 2-0 sweep of Blacklist International in the group stage, Coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani is confident that they will fare better in their lower bracket rematch after facing a strong Onic Esports squad.

“Iba talaga yung naging mindset namin nung kalaban namin yung Fire Flux then iba yung naging mindset nung kalaban namin yung Onic. So yun yung pinakamalaking natutunan namin dito. Kung pano ba dapat yung tamang mindset kung lalaban kami,” he explained on how the loss against Onic will help Blacklist in their do-or-die encounter in the lower bracket.

During the group stage, Fire Flux Esports surprised the M3 World Champions with ‘unorthodox’ drafts which caught their rivals off guard on the way to scoring the sweep.

This time, however, Blacklist will be very much ready.

“I-expect lang namin yung mga unexpected, lalo na sa draft. Kumbaga kung magpick sila ng mga unorthodox heroes, katulad kanina ginawa rin nila, dapat maging ready pa rin kami,” said Coach MTB on what they need to prepare against Fire Flux Esports.

“Hindi kami dapat yung mag-adjust sa kung ano yung nilabas nila. Dapat yung Fire Flux yung mag-adjust sa kung anong hinanda namin.”

Blacklist will take a day off before going back to the stage in a win-or-go-home best-of-5 against Fire Flux Esports.
